You wont’ believe there is no cream or egg in this healthful version made from avocados and agave nectar, a natural plant-based and low-glycemic index sweetener. It’s amazing!
Ingredients for the chocolate mousse recipe:
6 fresh, ripe Hass avocados
1/2 cup coconut oil (optional for pudding style)
1 cup agave nectar, more if desired
1 1/2 cups raw cacao powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 vanilla extract
Process avocados and coconut oil first, if using. Once you have a creamy green mixture and all the chunks are mixed down, add the rest of the ingredients and process until blended well. Add more cacao powder, agave nectar, or substitute cacao for carob if desired. Play with it! This mousse keeps for ten days.
